Going Shopping with Krysty
I have spent the last three years working for a local trucking company. There has been no reason for me to dress girly. It’s not really my kind of thing. My group of friends is more the watching football, playing softball, catching a movie, or hanging out at the local tap kind of folks. So, I don’t dress up very often.
I took a new job a couple of months ago and I have some things I need to do for work that I need to look like a girl. Therefore, I had to go shopping this weekend. My friend, Krysty (who is a girly-girl) was kind enough to go with me.
After having children, I must have sub-consciously decided I liked the baby weight, because I didn’t do a darn thing about losing it. Needless to say…I hate to go shopping. It forces me to have to acknowledge my huge butt. I’ve lost 40-something pounds in the last year, so I was feeling a little better about the whole thing.
Really…. that was very silly.
Are you all aware that there are really huge revealing mirrors in all of those dressing rooms? So not only do I have to acknowledge my gi-normous posterior…I get to see it from two different angles. If that doesn’t inspire a stampede to Jenny Craig I don’t know what will! Then to top the whole thing off…I realize that this dress (which does accentuate my positives, and minimizes my negatives) will require new undergarments.
OMG! Not BRA’s too!!
My sweet Krysty was wonderful and made the whole thing really very painless. It’s great to have a friend that has no problem telling you what does look good and what doesn’t. Then she was sweet enough to take me for a Pecos Peach at Lone Star.
Thank you, Krysty!

Are we gonna talk about bra’s on this blog too?
Goody!!!
I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I think that if I tried on clothes (in front of those mirrors) everyday, that I would lose a ton of weight. On the other hand, I might become a hermit due to low self-esteem and never again leave my house…. Maybe a little denial (about the size of my ass) is a good thing.
